Terms of Service
Last updated: May 22, 2026
These Terms govern your use of ClaurixTerm (the desktop application) and claurix.com (the website), collectively the "Services," provided free of charge by SRG DOOEL (Skopje, North Macedonia). By downloading, installing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use them.
Plain English summary. ClaurixTerm is free and open. You bring your own AI API keys. You're responsible for whatever you do with it (commands you run, hosts you connect to, prompts you send). It's provided as-is — we can't be held liable for what AI agents or scripts do on your servers. Use it carefully on production.
1. What the Services are
- ClaurixTerm — a free, Tauri-built desktop SSH terminal with three switchable AI agents (Claude Code by Anthropic, Codex by OpenAI, Gemini by Google), distributed for Windows (and roadmap: Linux, macOS).
- claurix.com — the marketing site, download distribution point (
/dl/), and auto-update manifest (/latest.json).
2. No account, no subscription
ClaurixTerm does not require an account, sign-in, license key or subscription. You download it, you run it. To use the AI features you bring your own API keys for the providers you want to use — keys you obtain (and pay for, if applicable) directly from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes. You agree NOT to:
- Use the Services to access systems you are not authorised to access
- Conduct unauthorised security testing, intrusion or penetration testing
- Violate any applicable law or third-party right (including the terms of service of any AI provider or SSH host)
- Use the AI agents to generate harmful, abusive or illegal content
- Redistribute the application outside the terms of its open-source licence
4. AI agents — your responsibility
Each built-in agent (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini) connects directly from your device to its provider's API using your own credentials. By using them through ClaurixTerm you also agree to the applicable provider terms:
AI responses are generated automatically and can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing every command an agent proposes before executing it, especially on production systems. Agentic mode amplifies this responsibility — review the planned steps.
5. Intellectual property & licence
ClaurixTerm is published under the licence specified in its GitHub repository (github.com/srggaming/ClaurixTerm/LICENSE). The Claurix name, logo and brand assets are the property of SRG DOOEL; please don't use them to suggest endorsement of unrelated products.
You retain all rights to your own data, configurations, prompts and command output. Nothing in these Terms grants SRG DOOEL any licence over your content.
6. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. Data-protection specifics (controller, processors, EU/UK rights) live in our GDPR notice.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We disclaim, to the maximum extent permitted by law, all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free
- AI responses or proposed commands will be accurate or safe to execute
- Any defects will be corrected on any particular timeline
- The Services are suitable for life-critical or safety-critical systems
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SRG DOOEL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE OR SERVER UPTIME — ARISING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Services
- Commands you ran (or that an AI agent ran on your behalf)
- Outages, billing, errors or content of the third-party AI providers
- Any third-party SSH host you connect to
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SRG DOOEL and its officers, employees and agents from any claim arising from your use of the Services or your breach of these Terms.
10. Termination
There's nothing for us to terminate — you can stop using ClaurixTerm at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop publishing updates or take the website offline; we'll do our best to give notice via the GitHub repo when feasible.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; the new version takes effect when posted to this URL. Material changes will be noted in a ClaurixTerm release. Continued use after the change date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of North Macedonia. Disputes shall be brought before the competent courts in Skopje, except where applicable consumer-protection law grants you a non-waivable forum.
13. Severability & entire agreement
If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and GDPR notice, are the entire agreement between you and SRG DOOEL regarding the Services.
